Hello everybody.

So officially September was our first month being set up (Okay, so from 10th September roughly) and we have won some awards on Theta Fleet.

Firstly, we won the GOLD unit of distinction award! Did I mention it was GOLD!! AMAZING! That was done without a full month's writing and it's all down to every single one of you. I've really enjoyed setting the sim up and having you on board to support me as well.

And on top of that we have also won the TGCO Award of Merit! Which means as a sim we have been noticed, which is great!

And lastly, Susan has won writer of the month! This is what I said when I nominated her;

Susan has been responsible for just under a quarter of the posts that have been done on Hermes, and in doing so has created a wonderful character in MacKennon, whilst also creating various NPC's, whom all of which are great characters who have also been incorporated into these posts. A truly wonderful and talented writer, and I always look forward to posts from her.

And I know that award would have gone to any of you if I had nominated you. You are an amazing bunch and I look forward to the coming months!

Thank you everyone! Keep it up :)

James

» What a Great Start!

Posted on Tue Oct 3rd, 2017 @ 5:47am by Lieutenant Shannon MacKennon in General News

We've been operating for 3 weeks and a day. It took us 3 days to reach six players! And now we have seven. That is awesome! I hope you all know how unusual that is. But there's more!

Michael has already posted once, and the rest of the players have two or more posts in three weeks. We have a grand total of ... 25 posts and 2 personal logs for only three weeks of operation. There are established sims which fall far short of that. But there's more!

We are on the second day of the new month and already have 3 posts up. So everyone needs to get a pat on the back, because we are off to a racing start, and this is only a refit mission. I foresee great things in the future of this sim.

Thanks so much for helping to establish a place I look forward to writing for a long time.

» A New Player...

Posted on Sun Oct 1st, 2017 @ 4:05pm by Commander Zachary Hunt in General News

Hello everyone,

I would like to thank you all for the amount of effort you have put in since we have started. It's been amazing and I've enjoyed every single post so far.
The main point however is that we have a new player :)

His name is Michael and he will be playing Lieutenant Isbee Foster, the Chief Counselor aboard the USS Hermes.

Let's get some JP with him and let's make him feel welcome :)

» A Big Welcome and a Thank You

Posted on Thu Sep 14th, 2017 @ 10:51pm by Commander Zachary Hunt in General News

Hello everyone,

So today I am going to start writing, and I would just to say a massive thank you to all of you for supporting me in setting up the Hermes site! And a bigger thank you to Susan for helping me with setting the site up and motivating me to do so! I honestly can't wait to write again, and it's only been a month since I last done so!

If you haven't looked around the site, most of the information should be up now and there are blueprints and pictures everywhere. I've created the header from scratch and even a mission banner on the main page to make it look even better. If you have any suggestions that could make this sim even better, I'm more than happy to hear them!

The full mission summary is also under 'sim' and 'missions', and once the beginning one is done, we can move onto a more comprehensive one! YAY!

Happy writing,

James

» Deck Listing

Posted on Thu Sep 14th, 2017 @ 1:11am by Lieutenant Shannon MacKennon in Website Update

Greetings, Fellow Travelers!

There have been some changes to the Deck Listing today, moving things where they made more sense to be together, adding an Officers Mess, and adding a lounge. The lounge is probably of most interest to you! It's on Deck 13, and it's called Insanitarium - named by the first crew on the ship in 2368, of course. Sacred now, and unchangeable, but feel free to work that into posts! Note, it is not THE Insanitarium, just Insanitarium. =)

Mission: Chaos Before New Beginnings
Posted on Mon Oct 16th, 2017 @ 2:33am by Lieutenant Damion Ildaran & Lieutenant Isbee Foster

The late afternoon found Damion visiting the Chief Counselor's office--not to seek Counseling, but for a matter more related to Intelligence, if the Chief Counselor was willing.

The name Isbee Foster told him little. He presumed a Human of some variety or perhaps a part-Betazoid, as so many Counselors were.…

MD-1

I must say, the officers' quarters on Federation starships are a vast improvement over the tiny, cramped crew quarters on Ferengi ships. And Starfleet department heads' quarters...well, this cabin is as large as my family's entire living space, back home. I ought to feel guilty, but you know--

I…
